Thomas Dulorme does pre weigh in weigh

February 9, 2012Guaynabo, Puerto Rico- Undefeated welterweight boxer, Thomas Dulorme (13-0, 10 KOs), should have made no more than 153 pounds in thispre weighing, equivalent to 5% above the weight required by the Puerto Rico Commission of Professional Boxing (CBPPR) in preparation for his fight as a headliner at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California. This card will be televised on Showtime in his series of Boxing: ShoBox: The New Generation.

Dulorme stopped the scale at the 149, sporting an excellent physical condition. This weighing was implemented one day earlier than required and yet the fighter did his weight.

Thomas will make the second defense of his NABA title subsidiary of the World Boxing Association (WBA) and fight for the first time by title NABF subsidiary of World Boxing Council (WBC). He was scheduled to face Jose Reynoso, but he fell during training which left him unwell, he will now face experienced puncher Ariz Ambriz (16-2-1, 8KO s), in a 10-round fight.

"We have been working hard for about eight weeks and the outcome of the work is now showing. This work has been the best preparation in the history of my career. I feel great, with great force and speed. The change of opponent does not affect us, but however were going to study him to ensure we have the right strategy on the fight, "said Dulorme, promotionally fighter represented by Universal Promotions, Gary Shaw Productions and DiBella Entertainment.

Dulorme, in his last fight completely dominated, for nine rounds, the global contender, Charlie Jose Navarro, in a fight in Panama. Thomas is currently ranked # 3 in the WBA welterweight and # 7 in the WBC.

The co-featured turn this card lies in the hard-hitting super welterweight Jonathan 'Mantequilla' Gonzalez, who will face world contender Billy Lyell (24-10, 5KOs) in a 10-round fight. Lyell has fought world class fighters such as Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. and James Kirkland.

Both men were recently selected by ESPN as part of the prestigious group of top 25 prospects in the world.
