Pedraza wins TKO
California, United States- Last night, super prospect, Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (6-0, 5KO's), continued steadily in professional ranks by providing a technical knockout to Ghanaian Herbert Quartey (7-7, 5KO's), at 1:20 of the fifth round, with a strong body shot. With this victory, Pedraza is the newly crowned world youth champion of the World Boxing Council, at 130 pounds.
During the fight, Pedraza, dominated Quartey with his apparent and superior ability and in the fifth assault capitalized his domination by connecting a left hook to the body Quartey, which made him instantly hit the canvas, and the referee observed that the Ghanaian had no way to return and defend against a superior opponent.
"I feel good, I worked the fight intelligently and behind my jab. Quartey was looking for a hard hit so I'm not neglected to give it to him. I understand, that tonight, I was more intelligent in the "ring" and therefore I won the bout. I return to Puerto Rico as a world champion and it fills me with a lot of joy. This is my Christmas gift to you Puerto Rico. Feliz Navidad, "said Pedraza.

The main event of the card rested on former undisputed middleweight champion Jermaine Taylor improved who his record to (29-4-1, 18 KO’s), providing a technical knockout to his opponent Jesse Nicklow (22-3-3, 8 KO’s) at .36 of the eighth assault.

"Sniper" Pedraza returns to action in the card Pa 'Bravo Yo, to be implemented on January 28 in his hometown of Cidra, Puerto Rico.
Pedraza is one of the most decorated amateur boxers in the history of Puerto Rican boxing. During the last Olympic cycle, campaigned at 132 pounds and captured bronze at the Pan American Games in Brazil in 2007, won a silver medal in the boxing championship in Milan 2009 and a gold medal in the 2010 Central American Games in Mayagüez.
Pedraza is part of the boxing team, Team Puerto Rico. This equipment was developed by the houses promoter Gary Shaw Productions, DiBella Entertainment and Universal Promotions in order to contain the finest group of Puerto Rican fighters available.
